The Home Coming (formerly Repro Green) is working to bring the remains of the forgotten heroes of the Korean War who saved 200,000 civilians and retreating soldiers in 1950. These heroes sacrificed their lives to provide two crucial weeks that enabled the successful evacuation of refugees and troops in bitter cold conditions of minus 30 degrees Celsius—a moment remembered as a Christmas miracle.

Now is the time to remember these forgotten heroes, and it is time for them to come home.

The Home Coming (previously known as Repro green) is a nonprofit organization with a prioritized focus to educating the people of the Far east on creative farming for challenging circumstances with limited resources. The outcome of this effort is to cultivate and develop basic life skills and self-sufficiency since 2005.

We are also engaged in fostering the needs of the children who are under nourished. In addition, we value the importance of the common roots between Korean diasporas and their new families in the far east.

We have built two multi functional farm church school facilities; one is in Khorol, which is located in approximately 80 miles northwest of Vladivostok and the second one in Sakhalin Island. There are four full time local leaders attending to the needs of people in both locations. Third church has been completed in 2026 to accommodate on expected future needs.

These services are well received in the local municipalities and we earned a notable reputation for feeding the local children and displaced people. There has been a two-year program in the early stage of mission.

Based on the reputation of success of the program, in the beginning of 2010, the program was introduced to SEZ Najin to help the locals to learn how to farm with limited resources. These activities have been extended to two farms in the vicinity of Najin area.

Our goal is to continue these services in different regions of the Fareast where many Korean diasporas are waiting for the same opportunity.

Mimi

Dr. Mimi Song

Ms. Song was born in the Republic of Korea and later became a naturalized U.S. citizen. She embodied the American Dream and, inspired to share hope with diaspora communities in the Far East, founded two churches integrated with agricultural development initiatives. These efforts addressed local needs while introducing participants to a new identity as children of God. The third church was completed in 2026 near the border between Russia and North Korea, in anticipation of future regional needs.

She also launched the Home Coming project, which honors the forgotten U.S. Marines and other U.S. military service members of the Korean War (1950–1953). Their noble sacrifice and dedication made possible the successful evacuation of approximately 200,000 refugees and military personnel during the Hungnam withdrawal, an event that became known as the “Christmas miracle of 1950.” This miracle included the safe birth of five babies aboard fleeing vessels, notably the SS Meredith Victory and SS Lane Victory. The SS Lane Victory, a historic ship that participated in these heroic evacuations, remains berthed in San Pedro, California, awaiting restoration nearly 80 years after her time of service.

Through the Home Coming project, Ms. Song seeks to unite Americans in honoring the soldiers who paid the ultimate price for the freedom and sovereignty we, the American people and particularly Korean Americans, enjoy today.
